Straight Teeth Without the Metal

Invisalign clear aligners fit seamlessly into your Vancouver lifestyle — nearly invisible, removable for meals, and designed to fit your timeline.

Invisalign at West Broadway Dental, Kitsilano

Invisalign has transformed orthodontic treatment for adults and teens, and at West Broadway Dental we've seen first-hand how life-changing a confident, aligned smile can be. Dr. Sharma is an experienced Invisalign provider who uses our state-of-the-art intraoral scanner — no messy impressions — to capture a precise 3-D model of your teeth and create a fully digital treatment plan. You'll see a simulation of your final result before the first aligner is even made. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat anything you like and keep your existing oral hygiene routine intact. Invisalign is especially popular among Kitsilano's active, image-conscious professionals who want orthodontic results without broadcasting that they're in treatment.

Transparent pricing

Invisalign fees vary depending on complexity and treatment length. At West Broadway Dental, we provide a fixed, all-inclusive quote that covers all aligners, attachments, refinements, and your final retainers. Many extended dental plans cover Invisalign under their orthodontic benefit — we'll verify your coverage and direct-bill on your behalf. We also offer interest-free monthly payment plans to make treatment accessible.

Common concerns we see

  • Crowded Teeth

Crowding makes teeth difficult to clean thoroughly and can lead to accelerated wear on specific teeth. Invisalign gradually creates space and aligns teeth into a healthier, easier-to-maintain position.

  • Gaps Between Teeth

Spaces between teeth can trap food and cause gum issues over time. Clear aligners close gaps predictably, and because treatment is digital, Dr. Sharma can show you the projected result at your very first appointment.

  • Overbite, Underbite, or Crossbite

Bite discrepancies affect both aesthetics and function, contributing to jaw discomfort and uneven enamel wear. Modern Invisalign technology, including precision attachments and bite ramps, now addresses many bite issues that once required traditional braces.

  • Relapse After Previous Orthodontics

If your teeth have shifted after a previous round of braces, Invisalign is an ideal refinement tool. Shorter treatment times and the convenience of clear aligners make correcting relapse far less disruptive than re-doing braces.

How the treatment works

  1. 3-D Digital Scan & ClinCheck Preview

We capture a precise digital model of your teeth using our intraoral scanner — no impression trays or gagging. Dr. Sharma designs your treatment in the Invisalign ClinCheck software and shows you a tooth-movement animation from Day 1 to your final result.

  2. Custom Aligner Fabrication

Your personalised series of aligners is manufactured at Invisalign's facility and shipped directly to our Kitsilano office. Each set is precision-trimmed to your gumline for comfort and aesthetics.

  3. Wearing & Progressing Through Aligners

You wear each aligner for about one to two weeks, 20–22 hours per day. You progress through the series at your own pace, with brief check-in appointments every six to eight weeks so Dr. Sharma can confirm treatment is tracking as planned.

  4. Retention

Once your final aligner is complete, Dr. Sharma fits you with retainers to keep your teeth in their new positions. Retainers are the most important step — the teeth will shift without them, so we make sure you have a plan that's easy to stick to.

Common questions about invisalign

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Treatment length depends on the complexity of your case. Minor corrections can be completed in as few as six months; more comprehensive cases typically take 12–18 months. Dr. Sharma will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation after reviewing your 3-D scan.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Most patients experience mild pressure or soreness for the first day or two after switching to a new aligner — a sign that the teeth are moving. This discomfort is typically much less intense than the adjustment soreness associated with traditional braces.

Can I eat and drink with my aligners in?

You should remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than plain water. Eating with aligners risks cracking them and trapping food against your teeth. The good news is there are no food restrictions — just pop them out, enjoy your meal, brush, and replace them.

Are the aligners really invisible?

Very nearly. The clear plastic is almost undetectable in normal conversation, and the attachments (small tooth-coloured bumps bonded to certain teeth) are subtle enough that most people won't notice them unless they're looking closely.

What if I'm not happy with my result?

Invisalign treatment includes refinements — additional aligners to fine-tune the result if needed. Dr. Sharma monitors progress at every check-in appointment and initiates refinements proactively, so we rarely reach the end of treatment with unresolved concerns.
